Introduction
The Laurels Guest Accommodation is in the central area of Blackpool close to all the local attractions and within a short walking distance to town.
Having 6 En-Suites which are on the first & second floor levels.
Our establishment is a non smoking Accommodation provider.
A designated smoking area is at the front of the premises
Pre-Arrival.
This access statement can be found in the browser folder by the bedside table.
Local calls can be made through The Laurels Accommodation
The nearest bus stop is on Central Drive/Palatine Road next to The Yorkshire Bank and is a 5 minute walk .
The public toilets are located at Central Drive car park
The main Bus Terminal is in Talbot Road opposite Wilkinsons with the Train Station directly behind Wilkinsons which are a 15 minute walk approximately
Local Trams and Buses can be located along the Promanade and run at regular intervals along the Fylde coast.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Car parking can be found at the front of the premises and has parking for two vehicles which can be pre-booked should you require and is subject to availability.
Disability badge holders are welcome to use the public parking area opposite the accommodation.
Pay & Display facilities can be accessed to the rear of the property in Palatine Road and in Reads Avenue next to The Norwood Hotel which are a 5 minute walk.
A drop off/ collection point is available outside the Guest Accommodation.
Main Entrance & Reception.
The main entrance is along a concrete path 5 metres from the public footpath.A single 6" marble step will take you into the tiled porch assisted by hand rails either side if required
The door bell is to the right hand side of the inner door where you can summon attention.On entering the inner door you will be asked to register and make due payment.
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs,Landing, Corridors.
The carpeted hall area on the ground floor will allow access to the carpeted Dining Room / Lounge and carpeted stairway.
The first floor carpeted level can be accessed by 12 stairs having a standard bannister to the right hand side finding rooms 1,2, & 4 along the corridor.
The second floor carpeted level is accessed by a further 13 stairs finding rooms 6,7,8 & 9 along the corridor.
There are fire alarm points and fire extinguishers which are clearly marked and positioned.
All stairway and landing areas are adequately lit and maintained.
Public Areas - Sitting Room, Dining Area.
The carpeted sitting room and dining area is accessed from the main hallway and has comfortable seating for guests.
Guest WC.
The Guest Toilet can be found on the first floor at the end of the corridor.
Instant hand sanitiser is available on the corner shelf.
Laundry.
All bed linen, towels and pillow cases are laundered at The Laurels.
Bedrooms.
All rooms are En-Suite and have fitted carpets
All En-Suites have a raised shower tray of 8" approximately.
Tea & Coffee making facilities are replenished daily.
Bottled water is provided for your convenience.
All rooms are equipped with Freeview TV & radio clock alarm.
Fire procedures are displayed on each bedroom door with clear instructions and assembly point location.
Additional Information.
The L2 fire alarm system is tested at regular intervals in house and periodically checked by an approved engineer every 6 months with certificate of proof.
The emergency lighting is prominent at all exit points on all floors to aid means of safe evacuation.

It would be desireable to provide larger bedrooms through alterations as our budget allows.
To upgrade bedroom furniture and fittings, bedding as an ongoing process.
